bean salad with peanut dressing

Credits: Kirstie and Justine

for peanut dressing:

all natural peanut butter (the 100% peanut butter stuff that's good for you. not the stuff with sugar and preservatives and other E-things)
soy sauce (dark and thin - habhal and kikkoman works quite well)
honey (any type really)

2 tbs peanut butter. Mix with soy sauce and honey. To taste.
[Sorry - a bit lame, i know, but I didn't work out the quantities. I stopped when it tasted nice]

salad ingredients

broccoli
asparagus
green beans
chick peas (already boiled - which means having soaked it for 24 hours and boiled it with salt and garlic until soft in advance)
Hard boiled eggs

Boil broccoli, asparagus and green beans with a little salt. Drain. Put in mixing bowl. Add chick peas. Add peanut dressing. A bit at a time. Not too much. You don't want the dressing to overpower the taste of the vegetables.

Peel hard boiled eggs. Quarter.

Serve salad on plate with eggs.

Eat.

and asya eats a lot

according to b, food is a happy thing for me...

i suppose it is.

i also enjoy cooking. i find it calming and therapeutic. and i love it when people eat what i cook. it doesn't happen very often, but it has happened.

this new blog (another one? you can't even keep up with the ones you already have! ah! such disbelievers) is to chronicle the different meals or recipes i've discovered or created, and enjoyed. depending on how i feel - i may also talk about the duds. those recipes that didn't quite work.

in any event - let's see where this takes us.
